You are feeling like crap today. You feel sluggish, numb, empty, unmotivated. Everyone annoys you. Maybe you feel like starting a fight. The trigger alarms are ringing. Here is a checklist to make you aware that you’re probably feeling like this because your cup is empty. Small actions can easily put you back on track.

  1. Eat a healthy nutritious meal.
  2. Have a nap.
  3. Go on a walk.
  4. Ban doom scrolling for the day.
  5. Put your attention on others, and less on yourself.
  6. Go outside.
  7. Call someone to catch up.
  8. Learn something.
  9. Bake.
  10. Do something nice for someone.
  11. Make a moodboard.
  12. Meditate.
  13. Dance.
  14. Watch something educational.
  15. Clean your place.
  16. Read.
  17. Scroll Pinterest for inspiration.
  18. Write in a diary.
  19. Do something creative.
  20. Work on a project you like.
  21. Dress up and pamper yourself.
  22. Declutter a place in your home.
  23. Tackle that one thing you’ve been postponing forever.

If you have done your best today to be the best version of yourself and you still feel all dark and gloomy, let’s just call it a day. It’s okay to feel empty and numb sometimes. Tomorrow is another day.  But most of the time, when I’m hating on my beautiful life for no reason, I often finds that simple trick can unfreeze my brain. Socialising, going outside, finding inspiration somewhere might just be what you need to get the joy back in.
